Write-up: Pins & needles in fingers and toes. Started in the days following my Covid Shot (J&J) and has lasted about 4 months, although it seems like it''s been going away gradually. I can barely feel it anymore, but still a bit. It was at its worst about a month after the vaccine shot. My left fingers were the worst. I went to Urgent Care and saw my doctor, but they couldn''t explain it. In the news this morning I read about Guillain-Barr? syndrome from the J&J vaccine, so thought I should write in case it''s of any help.

Diagnostic Lab Data: 17th, Hospital ER, EKG; IV fluids (no antibiotic); drew some blood. A nurse did a COVID test on me. Doctor said the reason they needed a COVID test was because my white blood count was low, although everything else was a normal result from testing. Tested positive for COVID. After that, I lost my sense of smell and maybe 70% of my taste.
CDC Split Type: vsafe

Write-up: I had itchy, scratchy throat on the 12th in afternoon. Sunday, I woke up fully congested. I went to the pharmacy to get decongestant and I ended up going into the clinic, 13th, to get checked. There, they looked in my nose and she said it was stuffy and goopy. She wasn''t convinced it was an infection so told me to wait until. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I worked all day and was exhausted when I went home and on Wed, 16th, I started taking the antibiotic, I just felt bad and felt really stuffy. Got a low-grade fever, was taking Tylenol. I felt went really bad and I went as a walk-in to my primary care doctor. She said to let whatever it was to take its course. I had a little bout of nausea that would come here and there (she said that was from the drip in the back of my throat). Thursday night, I got dehydrated because I wasn''t drinking enough or eating enough, nothing sounded good, though. I had a really bad headache and I passed out, woke up very quickly though. I woke up and felt nauseated. Husband took me to ER. They did an EKG and other testing including COVID test, positive result. Zinc; vitamin D, I started taking it every day instead of three days a week and added vitamin C and the elderberry gummies with immune support. I drank 7-8 bottles of water with electrolytes in it a day. I was in bed for three days without getting up. I got a pulse oximeter (as instructed by nurse at ER), never got below 90. The virus never went into my chest of my lungs and I never had to use my inhaler one time. I have about 90% of taste back now; I have some of my smell back. I didn''t go back to work until 29th of June and I was just working short days as I was still very, very tired. About 3PM the tiredness would hit. Into this week, I''m not as tired anymore. I don''t have 100% of energy back for exercising back.

Current Illness: COPD.......At home on a ventilator.
Preexisting Conditions: Chronic respiratory failure with hypoxia and hypercapnia-primary At home on a ventilator. NOTE: Possible related illness ! Guillain Barre. In 2013, patient was rushed to hospital in a lethargic state. Her vital signs were poor, Oxy was low, CO2 very high, plus she was unable to move her hands and feet. She was intubated ! Although her hospital doctors wanted to remove her support equipment, her pulmonologist intervened, preventing them from doing so. After a number of weeks, she was finally able to be tested by her neurologist and diagnosed with Guillain Barre. December, 2013, she was taken off the ventilator and had been off until October 2017. *In October 2017, she had a similar lethargic experience as she had in 2013. Guillain Barre-Negative She was rushed to the hospital and intubated. Although she ?recovered?, they were unable to get her off the vent, mostly because of her anxiety, every time they tried. She has been at home, on a ventilator, with 24/7 nursing coverage since late 2017. She is receiving medical coverage at Home.
Allergies: penicillin
Diagnostic Lab Data: May 12 th... hospital. Her oxygen was stabilized and her CO2 at the hospital was 80. She remained in the hospital for four days. July 4th...vitals,(somewhat normal) did an EKG, and checked her CO2 (45).X-ray Did Not show any aspiration ! Additional information provided upon request !
CDC Split Type:

Write-up: No Immediate effect. Not sure if events are related ! On March 24th 2021, patient received the one Janssen # 1805022 Covid vaccine, at home, from a at Home doctor. 1) On May 12th 2021, patient, at home on the vent, began getting tired, she threw up, could barely walk and eventually became totally lethargic. Her oxygen was low and the on hand nurse used the Ambu bag to get her oxygen up to 100, while I called the ENT?s. The ENT?s checked her vitals, and did an EKG. We spoke to the doctor, and although by that time she was acting somewhat ?normal?, the decision was made to take her to hospital. Her oxygen was stabilized and her CO2 at the hospital was 80. She remained in the hospital for four days. 2) On Sunday, July 4th, patient was at home on the ventilator. Approximately 1:30 pm she seemed to become somewhat tired and she dropped her coffee cup.A little later, while eating, she threw up, spilling food and drink on her top. She seemed more tired and needed help changing her top. She sat in her recliner for a while and then she had to go to the bathroom. I took her there in a wheelchair. By the time she was ready to leave the bathroom, she was comatose and I had to lift her, she was dead weight, and place her in the wheelchair. I rolled her to the recliner and lifted her into it. She was then completely unconscious, with a continuously running nose and bubbles and fluid coming from her mouth ! Note: This was exactly same experience we had with her on May 12th 2021, when she was taken to hospital. I increased her breath rate on the Vent from 16 to 20, hoping that would expel CO2. I also increased the oxygen setting on the floor concentrator to 9, her pulse oxy was stable at 90. With the help of my daughter in law and grandson, we repositioned her on the recliner to a more comfortable and accessible position, connected the AMBU bag to the oxygen and slowly applied oxygen through her trach connection. We had also called the emergency, requesting assistance. By slowly squeezing the AMBU bag, I got her oxygen up to 100 ! Note: This Is exactly what we did on May 12 th. The ENT?s arrived shortly and within a few minutes after they arrived, patient started to come out of her comatose condition. The ENT?s checked her vitals,(somewhat normal) did an EKG, and checked her CO2 (45).We spoke to the doctor, and by that time she was acting ?normal? ! The decision was made to keep her at home instead of going to the hospital and an at-home X-ray was ordered in case she aspirated and conducted the following day. This x-ray Did Not show any aspiration !

The first time I called my PCP and we discussed it and she said if it happens again to let her know. A week later, my hand became paralyzed again. I called my HCP and they told me to go to the nearest emergency room. I explained the relationship between the shot and the paralyzation to the health care company, my PCP, the er attendant, and the nurse practitioner. When I was released after an hour in the ER, they hospital said they had no idea what was happening. I asked if they would report it to the CDC. They said anything flagged as covid related was to be sent to you. I was not reassured that they cared about Covid or vaccine related causes. I have the feeling that they checked me for a stroke and sent me on my merry way. When I arrived at my ultimate trip destination, one of my clients told me she had her non-shot arm paralyze two years ago from the flu vaccine.

Current Illness:
Preexisting Conditions: I have chronic pain numbness tingling pins and needle feelings in my feet upper legs to the knee both hands arms up to the elbows as of now. In the beginning one week after I had my shot I developed severe pain numbness burning tingling pins and needle feeling in my left arm I went to the ER. And they attributed to the vaccine. I was kept overnight for observation. I was released the next day. The numbness tingling burning pins and needles stabbing pain feelings continued to move throughout my body it traveled to both arms from my fingertips to my shoulders it traveled to both legs from the tips of my toes to my kneecaps up to my thighs it traveled to my face to my lips to my gums. It travel to my brain. I went back to the ER once I felt the numbness in my face and my tongue I was basically told to go home and write it out I was prescribed gabapentin by my GP to control the pain and the numbness and the burning and the tingling. I cannot tolerate that medication it''s awful I did take and it did help me to an extent and I did get better for a while I also took vitamin B12 to help and it did help me for a while but this past few weeks the burning tingling numbness and pain pins and needles and sometimes stabbing pains every turn to my feet my legs up to my knees both hands up my arms to my elbows. And I fear it''s going to start all over again and recycle itself and start to attack my body again. I did see my doctor last week and she did give me another prescription for gabapentin to control the symptoms but like I said I don''t easily tolerate that medication and I don''t like it. I also have brain fog and memory issues. I twist my words around and often forget what I''m talking about mid sentence. I sometimes can''t find the words for my thoughts that I want to express. I easily forget things. And I become confused easily. It makes me nervous to drive because my feet are numb and my legs are numb and I don''t know what''s going to happen my vision also gets blurry and I developed a floater in my right eye. All this is very debilitating for me and it''s hard for me to function like this and I don''t know what I''m going to do or how I''m going to work. I did see a neurologist and he just basically told me to keep taking the gabapentin I will make it another appointment with him though and get the diagnosis.
Allergies: Allergic to shellfish and penicillin
Diagnostic Lab Data: I have had some medical tests done I''ve had a CAT scan and an MRI of the brain but nothing was determined.
CDC Split Type:

Write-up: One week after receiving the vaccine, my left arm became numb tingling and pins and needle feeling. It began at my shoulder and traveled down to my elbow down to my wrist to the tips of my fingers I had started my shift and the pain and numbness was so bad in my hands that I had to stop working and go to the ER. Once at the ER I was admitted for observation. I was released the next day upon my release, the pain numbness pins and needles tingling feeling travel to my right arm from the tips of my fingers to my elbow to my shoulder it then began in both feet from the tips of my toes traveled up to my knees eventually up to my thighs. It just progressed and progressed day by day eventually it hit my face my gums my tongue my lips and at that point I was afraid that it was going to go to my brain and I went back to the ER. I was released and told to go home and basically write it out. A few weeks later I had an appointment with a neurologist and it was determined that it was most likely a side effect of the vaccine. Prior to my neurologist visit I had had a phone appointment with my nurse practitioner. I had explained to her my symptoms of the burning numbness pain tingling pins and needle stabbing random feelings I was feeling in my entire body. She prescribed me the medication gabapentin. The gabapentin did help me and I also began to take vitamin B12 which I believe also help me eventually it all dissipated except for my hands and my feet it was minimal but still noticeable and aggravating. About a week and a half ago I started to get real bad numbness pain tingling burning stabbing pains in my feet and now my hands and now it is again began to travel from the tips of my toes to my ankles up to my kneecaps but I''m both sides. It''s also worse now in my hands with burning and tingling and numbness which is traveled from the tips of my fingers to my wrists up to my elbows. I fear that it''s recycling itself and it''s going to happen all over again affecting my entire body. I did see my GP last week and I was prescribed more gabapentin I don''t like taking the gabapentin and it''s not really helping me this time around. I also experienced brain fog memory loss cognitive problems also. I''m thinking one thing but the words won''t come out of my mouth. I forget things also. I have terrible memory issues. When I''m working and I''m talking to a member I forget what they called for and I can''t remember. I sometimes can''t talk or say the words right. I don''t know what I''m going to do because I need to work but the numbness is so bad in my hands it makes it very difficult it also makes it difficult for me to talk because I can''t say the right words and I can''t remember things I forget very easily.

Surgeon also said to get the procedure but as of now my insurance has not approved payment. I have been having numbness and pain in hands and feet (mostly left side) along with vision issues, dizzyness, problem finding words and concentration, fatigue. I went to Hospital again on 6-27 due to pain and numbness in left hand and foot and doctor said he could admit me but I did''nt stay. I have gone from a healthy person who is very active to someone who is always tired and is constantly worried about having another TIA.

Write-up: I was exposed to COVID-19 via infected family member approximately June 7th and was mildly symptomatic by the 9th. I tested positive for COVID-19 on June 15th with worsening symptoms, however, mild respiratory issues. I began having issues with double vision on June 17th and contacted the emergency nurse hotline on June 18th as I had lost the ability to walk/stand, experienced waves of paralysis, numbness in hands and feet, rapid heart rate, and vision and hearing impairment. I was directed to the ER by the on-call Dr to test for possible encephalitis and have an EKG. I was discharged after a few hours. These symptoms align with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, however, I did not receive a spinal tap to confirm.

It then started letting up, but I woke up with half my face being numb. It starts at my lips and moves up my face to my lower eye lid. My upper teeth are also numb on that side. The left side, When that happened I went to the ER as advised by my doctor (4-12-21). My blood pressure was very high so they treated me for that and did a CAT scan of my head and found nothing. I was sent home. Saw my Neurologist the next day 4-13-21, She ordered an MRI which was done on 4-17-21. Nothing significant was found. I also saw my Primary care doctor that same week. He did bloodwork to rule out auto immune diseases. Bloodwork was good. I also went to see my dentist that week to rule out dental problems. He did an xray and did not think it was dental related. The numbness is still there. It has not gone away

CDC Split Type: vsafe

Write-up: Sore arm immediately after receving the vaccine. On Friday 4/16, my left upper thigh had a throbbing pain, almost like a charlie horse. That continued for 2 weeks, alternating legs. It ended up becoming prominent in my left leg, so much so that I had an ultrasound on my left leg on 4/23/21. On 4/24/21 I got a sharp headache, the whole right side of my face went numb. On 4/26/21 I called my doctor to tell them what happened and they sent me to the ER. I was in the ER for 16 hours. In the ER I had bloodwork, MRI and an ultrasound on left leg. I was discharged from the ER. On 4/30/21 I started getting chest pain/burning sensation. I went to urgent care on 5/3/21 for it. I was given lidocaine to numb my esophagus to rule out heart related chest pain. They did an EKG of my heart as well. I was sent home with pantoprazole. They diagnosed that it was heart burn related to the vaccine. I went back to the urgent care 5/7/21 because the chest pain was worse. They did a chest xray, and told me to continue, pantoprazole, tylenol and mylanta and stated they did not see anything wrong with my heart. After this I went to family doctor for a follow up closer to the end of May. The chest pain was still there and soft to the touch, along with pain (squeezing feeling) in my left arm. Also, my armpits have been swollen. The doctors think I have Costochondritis. They tell me to take 2 tylenol every 4 hours. It does get better for about 2 weeks then 6/10/21 it comes back with the same symptoms. On 6/14/21 I go back to the doctor and was given a steroid for one week, the steroid alleviates the inflammation. When the steroid is done, the symptoms come back. The symptoms come and go, some days are better than others.

Write-up: I received my COVID shot on Friday, July 09, 2021 around 12:40pm & started feeling bad, which continued through the rest of that night. I had headache, chills, aches, feverishly hot skin, fatigue, and nausea. On the next day, Saturday July 10th, I thought I was feeling better so I left the house to go meet a friend for lunch. However while I was driving, I started feeling sick to my stomach again. I got very lightheaded, so I tried to pull over. I traveled up & tried to pull over at the gas station, but I passed out before I could stop. When I woke up & regained consciousness, two men from (the bike shop across the street) were helping me out of my vehicle. I didn''t realize that I had passed out or had a wreck. According to the guys I was driving very slowly then my vehicle just sped up, hit the median, ran into a pole, then went airborne before coming to a stop in the middle of the street. Thankfully, I was the only vehicle involved in the accident. The guys at the bike shop also surveillance which captured footage of my accident. The back of my neck was hurting bad & I continued to feel nauseated. So I went hospital. They put me in a neck brace & did x-rays on me, which eventually came back ok. So, they gave me a Toradol shot, prescribed me some muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory pills.

She also advised me to see a neurologist and heart doctor. ON April 20th had to go back to ER as I had the smae seizure like event! On April 22nd I visited Dr. office (heart doctor). Blood pressure was off on this day as well and I stayed at clinic until it was better. Was given a heart monitor to wear for 24 hours. Heart was fine after wearing the monitor. Write-up: It was a fully body rash the developed over the course of 24 hours. The night before I noticed a bit of itching an a bump that seemed like a bug bite. The following morning I had many such bumps in clusters on my neck and arm (and a few more bumps on my legs). At the time I thought I had bed bugs. By about 6 PM, I had more bumps and many of them had spread and turned into welts. There were bumps and rashes on all limbs, my neck and redness on my chest and back, The itchiness was severe. While not extremely painful, it was extremely uncomfortable and seemed like it would be hard to sleep or do anything. Around 9 PM I took Allegra to try and alleviate symptoms. I also used hydrocortison cream and calamine lotion all over my body to reduce symptoms of itching. By around 11 PM, I the rash was spreading into my face in the form of some bumps and redness. I visited the ER after consultation with a nurse over the phone, who said that anaphylactic shock could be a possibility and that it would be best to go in. At the ER, I was treated with 50 mg diphenhydrAMINE , 20 mg famotidine , 10 mg dexAMETHasone. I was given a prescription for dexAMETHasone and instructed to take a refill in 3 days if I still had symptoms. I was discharged a couple hours later. I did not need to refill the dexAMETHasone as the sympoms subsided and was almost unnoticeable by day 3 (and completely gone by day 4).

Write-up: I experienced worsening breathing, very painful, feel I cannot catch my breath. I have hoarseness in my voice. I have had terrible chest pain that when I take in a deep breath, I have to hold my chest. I feel my symptoms are getting worse since receiving the J&J vaccine. I have had prior CT and MRI scans since November 2020. Everyone was worried sick about me since I live alone and a month ago, I thought I was having another pulmonary embolism. They again did lab work, CT scan, MRI scan and a D-dimer. My quality of life had drastically changed since receiving the J&J vaccine. I cannot go outside or work in my yard. I was given a Pro-air inhaler by my doctor and was told to use it when I am having trouble breathing, that I need to use it consistently. I gasp for air which worries me because I did not have to do this before. I also feel lightheaded and dizzy at times when getting up from a seated position. My lupus also has horrendously worsened with the vaccine. I also never picked up a cigarette to smoke in my life. My quality of life has been turned upside down since getting the J&J vaccine all my symptoms flared up.

Write-up: It started with joint pain on left side at the elbow and wrist. Then it progressed to all-over body aches. Then every joint became achy, even spine and toes. One of the left lymph nodes at the base of the skull became swollen like a golf ball. Then the throat lymph nodes also became swollen. I had fatigue to the point of needing to nap throughout the day; this comes and goes. I have weakness in the hands. Most recently, I have had shortness of breath, even after doing nothing. I have had earaches recently. I tested positive for mono, even though no one in my life has it. This has all been going on for over 2 months now. The doctor says I display some of the symptoms of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He says that if I display tingling in the extremities, I am to go to the ER. On 7/19/2021, I am going to have my spleen examined, because I have had nausea and pain in that area.
