Write-up: In the postvaccination observation clinic, the patient complained of new "tightness" in her upper airway. She says that this is similar to reactions to grasses that she has had in past. In past, her symptom has responded completely to diphenhydramine 50 mg PO. No respiratory distress either now or in past. On physical exam, she is not in distress, appears clinically well. A- allergic reaction P- Diphenhydramine 50 mg PO now, given at 12:20 pm. Continued observation x 30 min from the time of medication, with full resolution of symptoms. Discharged.
