By the second day the patient developed mild facial swelling bilaterally, this responded well to Zyrtec. There was no SOB, or dyspnea. There was no swelling of lips or oropharyngeal structures. Her symptoms persisted for 48 hours. Patient was treated at home by her mother, who is a pharmacist, with apap alternating with ibuprofen. She was also given Zyrtec as noted. The patient was seen by me this afternoon and was improved with no fever evident. However, Mom had given her 1 gram apap 1 hour prior to her visit.
