Write-up: necrosis; sepsis; rare ovarian cancer called juvenile granulosa cell tumor/her hormones causing it to grow faster; rare ovarian cancer called juvenile granulosa cell tumor/her hormones causing it to grow faster; I was sick within 24 hours of getting the second one; sharp pain in my shoulder; bloating; tumor that cut off blood supply to my left ovary; changed my hormones; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient) downloaded from a regulatory authority-WEB, regulatory authority number: GB-MHRA-WEBCOVID-202109160856232670-94GSI, Safety Report Unique Identifier: GB-MHRA-ADR 25951121. A 27-year-old female patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), via an unspecified route of administration on 18Jul2021 (batch/lot number was not reported) as DOSE 2, SINGLE for COVID-19 immunization. Medical history included suspected COVID-19 (Unsure when symptoms started, Unsure when symptoms stopped). Patient had a history of a rare ovarian cancer called juvenile granulosa cell tumor. The right ovary was removed in 2018 due to cancer. She never had chemo or radiation. Patient is not pregnant. Patient is not currently breastfeeding. Patient is not enrolled in clinical trial. The patient''s concomitant medications were not reported. The patient previously took oestrogen, and BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE) batch/lLot number was not reported) DOSE 1, SINGLE for COVID-19 immunisation. Patient stated she does not believe the vaccine gave her cancer but she does believe it affected her hormones, specifically oestrogen, which caused the tumor to grow at an exponential rate. Patient further stated she was aware that she may have had the tumor for some time without realising but thought that getting the vaccine changed her hormones causing it to grow faster as her body would not do a monthly cycle. This was the third time with the tumor and she had never experienced symptoms like this and she firmly believed the vaccine was the trigger. She was sick within 24 hours of getting the second one (onset date: Jul2201), had to take a week off work as she thought she actually had coronavirus until her PCR came back negative and then the second week was when the ovarian cancer symptoms began, sharp pain in the shoulder, bloating, running to the bathroom a lot so then she went to the hospital. When they scanned her they found the 13cm tumor that cut off blood supply to her left ovary so she had emergency surgery to remove it and the tumor and ended up in ICU due to necrosis (onset date not reported) and fear of sepsis and blood loss and had to get blood transfusions. Patient stated "Please look into the hormonal changes from this vaccine. I''m not the only person who has noticed this." The events were considered serious: hospitalization (date/s unspecified), and life threatening. Patient has not tested positive for COVID-19 since having the vaccine. The patient underwent lab tests and procedures which included COVID-19 virus test: No - Negative COVID-19 test on 23Jul2021, and scan: 13cm tumor. The patient recovered from rare ovarian cancer called juvenile granulosa cell tumor/her hormones causing it to grow faster with sequelae on 16Sep2021; the outcome of bloating, necrosis and sepsis was not recovered and unknown for the other events. No follow-up attempts are possible; information about lot/batch number cannot be obtained. No further information is expected.
