Write-up: Pt was given moderna vaccine on 4/23. 6 Hours later had nausea, vomiting, chills, and development of chest pain. Most symptoms disappeared within 6 hours save for the chest pain, which got worse over 3 days time, until patient arrived in our emergency room. The patient was found to have acute myopericarditis and was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. Had elevated troponin and EKG changes associated with myopericarditis. Started on anti inflammatories with good effect.

Write-up: Patient developed severe chest pain and was found to have myopericarditis. This occurred 3 days after receiving his 2nd Pfizer covid vaccine. Prior to this event, he was in his usual state of health and denied any viral prodrome or illness. In the hospital, he received NSAIDs and supportive care with significantly clinical improvement. He was discharged with cardiology follow up.

Write-up: Recevied vaccine on 5/14 around 6 pm. Started noticing chest pain, chills and fatigue on 5/15 around 6 pm. Evaluated by ED on 5/17 subsuquently admitted to PICU with intermittent chest pain and elevated troponin in the setting of recent Covid vaccination as well as a history of WPW status post ablation with recent onset of intermittent tachycardia. EKG demonstrates nonspecific ST segment changes and has elevated troponin which likey points to myocarditis as a diagnosis. Continues with elevated troponin level, no medication intervention at this time, no longer having chest pain

Write-up: Myocarditis diagnosed ~6.5 weeks after vaccine, but he reports mild symptoms of intermittent chest pain, fatigue, and hair loss starting shortly after the Trumenba vaccine. Cause of myocarditis still undetermined (testing pending).
